Privacy Policy
Version 1.3.1 · Last updated: July 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Feltune, a Wyoming limited liability company ("feltune", also referred to as "Feltune", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Feltune mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy describes our practices. Where we rely on your consent to process information, we ask for it separately and you may withdraw it at any time; where we rely on another legal basis, it is described in Section 2(F).
If you have any questions, contact us at support@feltune.com.
1) What Information We Collect
A. Account and Profile Information
- Sign-in information such as your email address (if you sign in with email), an Apple sign-in identifier (if you use Sign in with Apple on iOS), or a Google sign-in identifier (if you use Sign in with Google on Android).
- User profile data you choose to provide (for example, a display name), if applicable.
B. Content and Usage Information
When you use the Service, we may collect information about your interactions, such as:
- Tracks you play, and general playback activity (for example, starts, stops, and completion).
- Actions you take in the app such as favoriting/collecting tracks, creating or renaming "Vibes" modules, adding/removing tracks from modules, and related interactions.
Important: Feltune is a streaming service. We do not provide a feature for downloading tracks for permanent offline ownership.
C. Device and Diagnostics Information
We collect diagnostics data to maintain and improve Service reliability and performance, such as:
- Device type/model, operating system version, app version, language/region settings.
- Crash logs and performance data (for example, when the app crashes or encounters errors).
- Device and app identifiers used for security and service integrity. On iOS this includes an Apple App Attest key identifier, and on both platforms an app-generated installation identifier. These identify an app installation, not you personally, and we do not use them for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
- Network information such as IP address, which is processed to deliver content and to detect abuse.
We use the identifiers above, together with playback activity, to detect automated misuse such as artificially inflated play counts. This protects the integrity of artist payouts.
D. Approximate Location (Not Precise GPS)
We may infer a general location (such as country/region) from network signals (e.g., IP address region) for security, fraud prevention, service integrity, and analytics.
We do not collect precise GPS location unless explicitly requested and enabled by you (and the Service does not currently require precise location).
E. Payment and Subscription Information
If you purchase a subscription through Apple In-App Purchase (iOS) or Google Play Billing (Android):
- Payments are processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- We may receive subscription status information (for example, whether a subscription is active) to provide access to subscribed features.
F. Artist Payout Information
If you join Feltune as an artist and set up payouts, we collect the bank account details you provide so we can send your earnings — for example, account holder name, bank name, country, and account/routing number or IBAN/SWIFT. We use this solely to pay you and to meet related legal, tax, and anti-fraud obligations. This information is collected through the Feltune artist web portal (not the mobile app). Access is restricted and we do not sell it. Tax forms (e.g., W-9 / W-8BEN) are collected and processed by our tax provider, Avalara (Track1099); Feltune does not store your full taxpayer identification number.
2) How We Use Information
A. Provide and Operate the Service
- Authenticate users and maintain accounts.
- Deliver streaming audio and related content.
- Sync your in-app data (such as favorites and Vibes modules) if cloud sync is enabled.
B. Improve and Develop the Service
- Understand how users interact with the Service.

E. Compliance and Legal Obligations
- Comply with applicable laws and lawful requests.
- Protect the rights, safety, and property of users, Feltune, and others.
F. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data only where we have a legal basis to do so:
- Performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) — creating and authenticating your account, delivering streaming audio, syncing your favorites and Vibes modules, and providing subscription features you have paid for.
- Legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) — keeping the Service reliable and secure, diagnosing crashes and performance problems, preventing fraud and automated abuse (including artificially inflated play counts), understanding in aggregate how features are used, and protecting the integrity of artist payouts. We balance these interests against your rights, and you may object as described in Section 8.
- Legal obligation (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)) — tax and accounting records for artist payouts, responding to lawful requests, and copyright-related obligations.
- Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) — any processing we ask you to opt in to separately, such as optional communications. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out.
3) How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
A. Service Providers (Processors)
We use third-party service providers to operate the Service. These providers may process information on our behalf, under contractual safeguards:
- Supabase (authentication and database hosting): stores account and app data needed to provide the Service (e.g., user profiles, favorites/Vibes data, and related records).
- Cloudflare (storage and content delivery, including Cloudflare R2 and CDN): delivers audio and cover images and may process network request data required to serve content.
- Google Cloud (Cloud Run): runs our media processing services, which prepare audio and image files for streaming and display.
- Resend (transactional email): delivers sign-in codes, account notices, and artist notifications to your email address. We do not use it for marketing you have not asked for.
- Avalara (Track1099): collects and processes artist tax forms and files required tax reports. This applies only to artists who set up payouts.
B. Apple and Google (In-App Purchases and Sign-In)
- If you subscribe via Apple In-App Purchase (iOS) or Google Play Billing (Android), Apple or Google processes the transaction and may provide us subscription status signals needed to unlock features.
- If you use Sign in with Apple (iOS) or Sign in with Google (Android), Apple or Google provides an authentication token/identifier needed to sign you in.
C. Legal, Safety, and Enforcement
We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Protect the security and integrity of the Service.
- Prevent fraud or address abuse.
- Protect rights, property, or safety of users, Feltune, or others.
D. Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
4) Crash Reporting
We do not embed a third-party crash reporting SDK in the app. Instead, we rely on the crash and diagnostics reporting built into the platforms themselves — Apple's App Store Connect crash reporting on iOS and macOS, and Google Play Console crash reporting on Android. Whether these reports are shared with us is governed by the diagnostics sharing setting you control in your device's system settings. Such reports may include device model, operating system and app version, and crash logs.
5) No Advertising and No Sale of Personal Information
- Feltune does not display third-party advertising.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your information for targeted advertising.
6) Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to:
- Provide the Service,
- Comply with legal obligations,
- Resolve disputes,
- Enforce agreements, and
- Maintain security and integrity.
Retention periods depend on the data type and purpose. Our current periods are:
- Account, profile, and cloud-synced data (favorites, Vibes modules): kept while your account remains active, and deleted when you delete your account.
- Playback history: up to 18 months, after which it is deleted automatically. Aggregated play counts that cannot identify you may be kept longer to calculate artist earnings.
- Security and anti-abuse records (rate-limit records, App Attest challenges, playback session records): 24 to 72 hours.
- Operational and service-health logs: 90 days.
- Sign-in codes: deleted shortly after they expire, and always within 24 hours.
- Artist payout, tax, and transaction records: retained for as long as required by tax and accounting law, which is generally seven years, even after an artist account is closed.
When you delete your account, we delete your account data promptly, except for the records described above that we are required to keep by law or that are needed to prevent fraud. You may request deletion as described below.
7) Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
8) Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Account Deletion / Data Deletion Requests
You can delete your account and associated data yourself at any time — in the app (Settings → Delete Account) or at feltune.com/delete-account. You may also request deletion by contacting us at support@feltune.com.
We may need to verify your identity before processing requests.
Note: Some information may be retained as required by law, for security, or for legitimate business purposes (such as preventing fraud or enforcing policies).
9) International Data Transfers
Feltune may use service providers that process and store information in multiple countries. Your information may be transferred to and processed outside your country/region of residence. We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers, as required by applicable law.
10) Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under the age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at support@feltune.com and we will take appropriate steps.
11) Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as required by law (for example, in-app notice).
